Can An Itch All the Way Back There Be Yeast?

Itching we know is a simple sign of a yeast infection. The itch can be of the vaginal tissues, the vulvar tissues, the perineum (the tissue between the vagina and the rectum), or yes, it can actually be an anal itch. It's important to get this checked, as perhaps it's something you actually caught from your partner. Not all STIs have vaginal symptoms. Some STDs do present with rectal symptoms, which is definitely a different sort of itch. If you have rectal itching, still see your gyno to get checked for STIs. Yes, it's probably something like a rash or a hemorrhoid, but if not there are STD causes. Most often the STI in the rectal or anal area would be HPV if it is any condition like that at all, but actually, those cases are typically not symptomatic, those cases are typically found on examinations, often just routine examinations. But individuals with rectal irritation, itching, discomfort (proctitis) may in fact have GC, CT, a form of CT called LGV, syphilis or Herp...

Hemorrhoids a Bump that Itches

Multiple hemorrhoids Hemorrhoids are very common, and most give us no symptoms at all. They often will appear as a tiny tag of tissue protruding from the anus. Or they may be, like in this picture multiple. The first sign is a bit of itching in that area, but burning or other symptoms are possible. Most women will have one or two, some may have several, and in this picture the extra skin has become swollen with extra blood in the vessel that is contained within the hemorrhoid itself. The treatments are really designed to calm the blood flow down so the swelling shrinks and that makes the itching stop. When the blood vessel becomes so swollen it bleeds or when the blood flow back from the hemorrhoid gets backed up so that the area darkens or becomes too tender to touch. Anyone with hemorrhoids should take precautions to have regular bowel movements, and take care not to strain as straining will increase the pressure in this area and cause them to swell.  Those a...

Ouch, I think I have a Hemorrhoid

Actually far from being uncommon hemorrhoids are part of the normal blood vessel structures of your anal canal. Since most of us have declined to discuss or ask about the anus on our regular gyno check ups it’s come to our attention that when they do lead to problems patients are often rushing to the internet to figure out just what could be causing such pain, itching and sometimes even bleeding. If the hemorrhoid gets big it will prolapsed out of the rectum as a bulge and if the vessel gets a small clot within it it’s called thrombosis and that can be the source of quite a bit of the pain. The hemorrhoids all come from the circulation of blood vessels from the hemorrhoidal veins, and they can actually be internal and only your health care provider can do an exam to determine if that is the cause. Women can have skin tags, warts, or other rectal conditions that can be confused with hemorrhoids so it is best if you are getting them for the first time to get a gyno exam.

A Different Sort of Itch, Still Get Checked By Your Gyno (With Backdoor Itching!)

Not all STIs have vaginal symptoms. Some STDs do present with rectal symptoms (that 'back door itch'), which is definitely a different sort of itch. Granted simple skin conditions, yeast infection and other non-STD conditions can cause itching as well. But if you have rectal itching, still see your gyno to get checked for STDs. Yes, it's probably something like a rash or a hemorrhoid, but if not there are STD causes. Most often the STD  in the rectal or anal area would be HPV if it is any condition like that at all, but actually, those cases are typically not symptomatic, those cases are typically found on examinations, often just routine examinations. But individuals with rectal irritation, itching, discomfort (proctitis) may in fact have GC, CT, a form of CT called LGV, syphilis or Herpes (HSV). HPV infection can occur there as well, but isn't usually itchy. All these conditions can be tested for. Its not a bad idea to do some home remedies, one of the oldest is to...
