We are learning more and more about contraception and obesity. The newest facts are that it lowers effectiveness of birth control.So what are you doing about your calorie intake? And where are some hidden calories? Sugary drinks. And many of us get over two of these per day. And with that amount of sugar, not just the waistline, but there are other health consequences. Sugary drinks have too much added fructose, and we've discussed this in other blogs. Now itt was reported in Medscape that high fructose intake in the form of added sugar is independently associated with higher blood pressure (BP), according to the results of a cross-sectional analysis of data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES 2003 to 2006), reported online ahead of print July 1 in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology. the key is that whether hypertensive or not, you are sensitive to the physiological changes too much of a good thing can induce! You Have an IUD: But a Positive Pregnancy Test

Fortunately IUD pregnancy failures are rare. But if you have an IUD for contraception, and you get a positive pregnancy test, you probably ask yourself, what next? Post-Endometrial Ablation Syndrome

If you have had an endometrial ablation and have developed symptoms of pelvic pain you might have post endometrial ablation syndrome. What is post-endometrial ablation syndrome? It is a constellation of symptoms due to entrapped blood or tissue within a uterus that has previously undergone an endometrial ablation. Other complications of endometrial ablation include pregnancy, risks from pre-existing conditions such as a polyp or fibroid, an infection of the uterus, or a pregnancy.
